The Sadness Of The Hole Punch

I’m a hole punch
With no holes to punch
‘Cause you don’t file files now
That’s my hunch
I’m unsure in a drawer
Left to rust in the dust
Surplus, no purpose
D'you care about us?
To tell the truth I’ve got teeth but I’m toothless
Discarded like Boris
And just as useless
The world needs holes
They have their roles
Every goal has a hole
Some plots, all plimsoles
Black holes, bum holes
Tax break loopholes
Potholes, peepholes
Buttonholes and pigeonholes
The holes in the O’s of “holes” and “rolls”
Rolled up carpets and dead sea scrolls
Holes are abundant
But I feel redundant
Rotten, forgotten
I’ve got no goals
When it comes to the crunch
I’m an out of date lunch
I’m a no-holes hole punch
Thanks a bunch.
